Bali’s religious ceremonies

Truly a magnificent and unique experience is Bali’s religious ceremonies!

Babi guling (spit-roasted pig) is a staple during any religious ceremony to celebrate many of life’s coming-of-age events according to Balinese Hinduism; a myriad from childbirth, birthdays, engagements, weddings, to tooth fillings! Usually, the pemangku (temple priest) performs the yajna (offering) with ritualistic mantras in the presence of a sacred fire, and one or two or three babi guling shows a great deal of devotion to deities.

Visit Tulamben and experience the festivities in the ‘real Bali’! Contact our ‘Dream Team’ who can organise a few nights in our bungalow accommodation for you, with a tour in our village community at a nearby attraction.
