Spanish dancer at the Liberty!

One beautiful Bali evening, our Bali Dream Divers‘ experienced local dive guide and guest came upon a rare creature – a spanish dancer at the Liberty Shipwreck!

Why is this such a special sighting? Not only are the spanish dancer (Hexabranchus sanguineus) a rarity to see, but they are incredibly enigmatic as they come out only during the night. Which means that entry-level divers are not able to enjoy the spectacular theatrics of the large sea slugs’ undulating water dance! And those that have grown to 1 metre in length really are quite a sight to behold!

The Spanish Dancer is just ONE reason for divers to continue their dive education, and the Bali Dream Divers Instructor team love nothing better than to teach diving…other than night diving with their favourite sea slug! Contact the ‘Dream Team’ to arrange a night dive as part of your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification soon!
